The browser button.

One click on any video page sends the link to GrabNConvert. It is a bookmark that does one small thing, so there is no extension to install and no browser permission to grant.

Bookmarks bar hidden? Press ⌘ ⇧ B to show it.

From then on, every video is two clicks away.

Open a video page

Any supported video site. The page you are watching is enough; no need to copy anything.

Click the bookmark

The first time, the browser asks "Open GrabNConvert?". Tick Always allow and it never asks again. Nothing is sent to us: the link goes straight from your browser to the app on your computer.

Pick a quality, download

GrabNConvert comes to the front with the link already checked and the real qualities listed. Choose one and press Download.

Can't drag? Make the bookmark by hand

  1. Copy the code below.
  2. In your browser, add a new bookmark. Name it GrabNConvert.
  3. In the URL (or Address) field, paste the code instead of a web address, then save.

The code is one line that opens grabnconvert://download?url=… with the page you are on. You can read every character of it above; that is all it does.

Needs the app
The button only hands the link over. Install GrabNConvert first if you have not yet.
Any browser
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Firefox and Safari on macOS and Windows. It is a plain bookmark, so it follows your browser's own sync.
Phones
Mobile browsers hide bookmarks bars, and GrabNConvert runs on computers. On a phone, share the link to yourself and paste it in the app.
Other ways in
Settings → Notice copied links tells you when a copied link is ready to paste, and the menu bar icon has Paste link.
